any advice for a fist time fisher?

im going fishing for the first time this sunday. can anyne give me some tips? im pretty much going in blind, except for some stuff i learned from some guy at sports chalet. he showed me how to make a Carolina rig and what he uses. im going for strippers, large mouth and small mouth bass.

gary yamamoto senko in dark green texas rig it with a 4/0 offset hook no weight. reel it a little way lift the rod tip from three to noon. do this around grass stumps boat docks sticks stuff like that.

Also, you can use live worms and some minnows. I also recommend Rooster Tail spinners.

thanks for the advice everyone, i went yesterday and all day i only caught one fish and a really bad sunburn. but its ok im going back next sunday
