In a couple of months I am going to be setting up a 20 gal specifically for my pair of L260 in hopes of convincing them to breed (right now they are in a 30 gallon community tank that I think is just too busy for them and doesnt have enough current)

To be honest I am fairly new to keeping fish that can't be found at petsmart and these beauties were a gift from a very good friend of mine who was moving and couldn't take them with her so any advice at all about how to keep these fish in the best environment I can provide for them would be greatly appreciated.

Right now as earlier stated they are in a 30 gallon long that they share with two bristlenose plecos, two cory cats, two siamese algae eaters a couple of small shrimps, and a variety of guppies. The tank has a sandy bottom, driftwood, java ferns and some floating plants. I feed the tank a mix of frozen blood worms, sinking shrimp pellets (which they seem to LOVE), algae wafers and flake food with the occasional chunk of cucumber.

I am planning on setting up the 20 gallon with small and large gravel, a few small pieces of driftwood, either a large filter or a small powerhead and lots of caves, and setting it up on the bottom shelf under the 30 gallon so It should be a bit quieter.

Any tips/tricks on how to make these fish more comfortable? I've seen people mention feeding chunks of raw shrimp to different fish, would that be good for queen arabesque plecos?

I suggest investing in some pleco caves.. they have them at plecocave.com

Try planetcatfish as well for your pleco.. they will tell you what you need to know.. and more...

best of luck... ur tank might need to be bigger.... but a small tank is doable.. just do more water changes a week and timely feeding..

Thank you, I actually already have read the article at planet catfish (as small as it is), I went searching for all the information I could find on them as soon as I got them home. I was mostly just poking around for any more tidbits of information that I could find. I'm not even 100% certain that both aren't the same gender but I was assured one is male and one is female.
