I have a mature male motoro (15") and am getting some females (6"-8") which will be kept seperate from the male for now. I am interested in breeding in the future but I am unsure about what size they would be sexualy mature and if anyone has any other tips for successful breeding. Thanks.

Might take awhile before the females are mature. Maybe when they reach 13"+ diameter. Chances are the male will start pestering them long before they are mature as he is already.
They need room, clean water, and food.

Well, better if you will buy female bigger than male. Buy 2 female.

What size of tank do you have ?

Its fine to have one male and one female, or have multiple females to one male, just don't reverse the situation and have multiple males to one female. Also like michaelm stated, it is in your best interest to buy females that are already bigger than your 15" male. If you buy pups, your male is almost 100% guaranteed going to kill them if he attempts to mate later on.

Very true about the male killing the female pups later on. An inmature male which is just learning to mate is very hard on females until it figures out the best way to get the job done.
