I bought a fluval FX5 about 2 months ago but only installed it about 6/7weeks ago anyway i have as filter media in the top basket Kitchen pot scourers in the second basket there is Bio Balls and in the third basket there is Alfagrog and it's all been in there cycling my tank for the past 6 to 7 weeks now but yet i still have a greyish / brown cloudyness to my water my tank is near a window but i have a blind which is NEVER open so theres no direct sunlight hitting it.
My Parameters are as i like them PH 7, N03 0ppm, NH3/NH4 0. it's really doing my head in as to why even when i do 2x 30 to 50% water changes each week why it's still cloudy and if i leave it it gets worse i'm at a point of self distruction and i feel like jacking in the hobby because it's pissin me off that much.
So i'm wondering is it something to do with my filter media ? i ask because theres only so much i can think of as what to do and i know that there are beter men at this sort of thing than me even tho i'm a Mod on this site i still encounter problems just like everyone else and require other peoples advice.
So any advice please?
