I want to learn but so does my wife and I dont think she'll stick with it so I dont want to buy her a bow but cant get one for myself without getting her one.
Back in the day I did heavily. Iv been doing it since 3 or so. Im in the market for a new recurve to start back up into it, and try for one of my dream hunts (bear with a recurve). I used to be quite good but havnt touched a bow in 5 years or better
Tons of fun. Definitely a worthwhile investment whether it be a new or used bow. Target competitions with a buddy can go on for hours lol. I have two, a fairly new PSE with a TrueGlo sight and a whiskerbiscuit, and an old Darton that I plan on converting to a bowfishing setup this summer.

Just got a sinister pse totally fun going pig hunting soon oh ready about how to shoot little tricky at first you can really hurt your self if you dry fire or shoot a compound with out a release
Oh snaps real hunters. I'm a bow hunter "Compound". So if ur new some things to think about is draw length, how many lbs of pull, and how much "let-off" in % at full draw.
Normal people can draw a 65-75lbs bow and hold it with a 60%let-off for a few seconds.
I've had a Mathews compound hunting bow for over 15 years now, and 2 stick bows. I haven't really shot any of them in years, except for the occassional time here and there when I find some free time and remember about it. From time to time I do get the itch, and I'm certain one of these days I'll be shooting them on a regular basis. I'll try to get some pics soon.
Was there anything in particular you wanted to know Warborg?
