I'll be going to Oregon on April 10 and stay there for 3 days. Anyone know if they have LFS that have some nice looking bichirs or any other monster fish?

Try Family Pet Center in Portland, they have really good deals there. Another one I would recommend is A-Z pets in Portland. The Wet Spot and World of Wet Pets are probably the nicest shops in the Portland area. Those are the 4 I go to in order. Good Luck.

i thought i was the only bichir keeper in oregon, what's up!
yeah definately check out the wetspot for a sure thing for bichirs and other monsters (make sure to say hi to snuffers).
However i would first check out family pet and a-z. CB's tropical isn't too bad but i think he's more focused on SW, cool guy though.
anyways family pet sometimes has some big fish, best one was probably a 15" ornate with a bulge in its stomach. tank also had electric blues in it
probably one of the most expensive feeders.
but IMO hands down has to be A-Z pets. yeah they're pretty ghetto, but the main focus seems to be fish. i have seen a at least 18"+ pacu, some type of albino cat(was in their pond so couldn't tell really) probably almost 2', huge oscars, oh and a wolf fish-wanted it so bad but woulda made short work of my tank
for $90 i think.
from personal experience examples- i got my delhezi from wetspot for $35 around 4"- i got my lap at A-Z for $25(had i known i woulda bought all 7
about 5", and a pair of palmas pollis for $45/6". they just kinda show up there and i don't know if the owner doesn't realize the difference or just doesn't care but anytime i ask about one they got in it just "the bichirs, they're $25" frankly i really don't care

Man I forgot about A-Z and family pet. Voodoo doughnuts mmm. Open 24 hrs. Cayes has a huge shark in a small tank poor fish.
