I have developed an obsession with them
I have a bunch of the normal ones in my basment that breed on a regular basis.
I picked up an "pastel" pair over the weekend at the reptile show ( got some pics from the show to post in a little bit)

What all types of house geckos are there. I would like to get some more of the different types/ colors

I use to keep and breed one of the many species called "house geckos". There are a bazillion different ones out there all from the genus Hemidactylus. Unfortunately it's hard to tell what species you have unless you know where they're from.

:iagree:Very fun to keep critters:D If you like them you must also try croc geckos;)

would a pic help? Yes dummy I am sure it would. I am going to move them into a tank tonight. I will get some pics.
They have a distinct pattern. Dont look like the other pics of house geckos I have seen. Same body shape but more of a zig zag patterning.

I would love to see your pastel pair we have 2 different types in my area . Types with "warts" like toads and smooth types.

I love house geckos though have never kept any but have "hatched eggs . I just feed them by kitchen window sill at night (wax worms) .

I have never seen any unusual colors be it albino/black only somewhat mottled slight morphs.

Will adults eat babies?

A large hungry one might! It's just good practice to remove the offspring of any type of gecko species from it's parents. They might not get eaten, but they could get injured or bullied.

And those smooth geckos you see are probably Indo-Pacific Geckos. They are pretty well established in Florida.

I used to keep an breed them. I had a cool little planted terrarium with about 6 of them and they bred like crazy

These one are definately smooth one. I moved them to a sterialite last night while I work on a tank for them. Tried for pics but it was not happening. I wil try again when I get them into their real tank.
