I was required to live on campus for one year (hated it). I had a 29 gallon SW biocube, all the girls loved it. Nemo, Dori, and a yellow fish!

Watchout for roommates dropping vodka in your tank.

... don't blue tangs need 100 gallons?

lol ur fish musta had a good night. But probly didnt have a good morning

I am in my senior year and I have had fish since my first.

2006: 5g with tetras
2007: 5g and 29g community
2008: 5g, 29g, and 55g CA/SA cichlids, a P. senegalus, and an eel
2009: 5g, 29g, 55g, and another 55g with a breeding pair of salvinis. also a 10g with local SW fish and a number of guppy & swordtail bowls.

Two of my roommates also have 10g community tanks. Oddly enough, the 29g was the only one I bought. All of the others were gifts/free.

Technically we are only allowed to have tanks 20g or smaller, but nobody has given me a problem about it. Plus, I'm a marine biology major so it's sort-of related to my curriculum. Just make sure you're on the first floor! (to be safe)

im in college and i am a senior. I have a 120, 2 125s, a 75, a 55, and a 45 running right now.

Full grown regal tangs need more than twice that, a foot print of 8 by 3 atleast.

The ones I had were the size of a quarter and it was only for a year, so it was fine.

Back when I was in college I had a planted 10g with a jewel cichlid and bristlenose pleco.

My senior year I lived in a suite and we had a 29g in our common room. One of my roomates bought a baby jag (yes, inappropriate tank size) and managed to draw large crowds of spectators for live feedings. It eventually jumped out of the tank, after which I replaced it with a pair of breeding convicts.

When I was in grad school I had a 120g, a DIY 100g and 2 20g tanks.

Having tanks was nice. But I generally moved each year and moving with tanks really sucks (especially when you can't afford to hire movers). My wife's currently in business school fo for now we've downgraded to a single 40g with a few of my favorite fish from my previous setups. I can't wait till she's done and we move somewhere more long term and I can set up a monster tank.

uncwnells - I don't know what your plans are after college, but if you're planning to move somewhere else you have my sympathy.

I'm in college now. Freshman in in the dorm with a 20 gallon high saltwater tank. Just 2 damsels, a clown, some hermits and snails and a coral banded shrimp, but its fun to keep. Major plus-Girls love the clownfish.
