Hey Everybody,

For my 50 gallon corner tank i've been looking into fish on aquascape, because they have lots of exotic plecos and catfish all at a very nice price. Well I've never been in the catfish section before but would any of these plecos or catfish be fine in a tank like mine...filteration is an fx5 if curious.

Catfish:
-Marble Sailfin Catfish
-Jaguar Catfish
-Pictus Catfish
-Lima Shovelnose

Hey please dont flame lol, I personally don't know the adult sizes of these fish, I use to have pictus cats in my 72 gallon before it was marine. The lima Shovel I forgot if they get real big like the TSN...I forgot but I see them at lfs at small sizes.

Plecos:
-Sunshine Pleco

I really like the colors on these guys, hope they are hardy and also small enough to stay in a 50 gallon.

Cory Catfish:

I was thinking of a shoal of strbais..

Also I know wrong sub forum:

Any polys?

Any advice, tips, suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

The Jaguar if you can find one. That seems to be a prized cat for a 55 gallon tank but not easy to find. Also a Striped Raphael is cool looking but most hide all the time. They only get about 8" or so. Or a banjo cat.

i have a jaguar catfish reserved for me from aquascape for my 55G..but yea i would go with jag cat, pictus cat, and the poly..a senegal bichir is fine

Para plecos are awesome, and stay small.

Maybe I'll be thinking about the jags then...can they be kept alone? Also I will check on the para pleco...never heard of that.

a group of pictus cats would look nice as long as you get the smaller species

That look nice, I thought thier was only one cat called pictus...the one on live aquaria looks real nice!

Here's my para... He was $20.

there are 2 species that are very similar except for size, one gets 25 cm long while the other species grows about 15 cm long. The smaller ones are the ones I recommended.
