@ HOME.
Hello,
I have future plans for housing a baby water monitor in a 100 gallon tank.I wanted to know if anyone had any good ideas of making a cool natural looking dock for my future reptile.I was thinking maybe some plexi and maybe gluing the terrarium liner on it or maybe using like substrate to make it more natural looking. So if you have any ideas, suggestion or pictures of you landing dock please feel free to post them.
Thanks mkers!

I agree. This will be temporary housing since the hundred gall is available to me.I would'nt want to waste it.Thanks for your concern.

They honestly don't do all that much swimming. In a tank that size I'd do something like a decent sized dishpan for soaking and leave most of the space as land for him to move around in. You'll want something easily changed and scrubbed as your young V. salvator will very likely use the water pan for a toilet.

you could always silicone a 4 or 5 inch piece of glass across one end of the tank, forming a small area for a pool, then fill the rest up on the other side of whatever substrate you choose

I don't think i want to do that what if i want to use the aquarium for fish in future?I dont want to adhere anything attached inside the tank.

You can scrape the silicone off...

I would just get a litter box fill it up with water and be done .Cheap easy and removeible. Then after you get this beast go out and search for a display case .The bigger the better cut a hole in the bottom of it and sink the pan in to the floor .Wallah instant suitable cage for your monitor. Then fill up the tank and get african cichlids mainly haplichromis and aulonocara

Sup yall,
Thanks for the replies.I am now planning to go with my first decision and now going to raise a dwarf caiman alligator.I found some old driftwood and a large sized lava rockto use as a basking spot.Do you think this will be safe for the gator?
