I recently picked up a peacock bass, either temensis or azul from what it looks like by the juvi ID thread. I have an Ornate Bichir and Red Wolf if a 55 gallon, ornate is biggest at about 8 in, peacock growing out in a friends tank right now (would be food at this size for sure), red wolf is about 5 in, the peacock is growing pretty quick so i dont think hell be in my buddys tank for much longer. Hows that combo looking? anything for sure gonna kill the peacock or vice versa? ive heard they do better in small groups or even just 2 of em so ive been thinking about another one.

Right now I have a bahia Kelberi, Broko Ocell, wolf, weeksi, ntt and jaguar, they do just fine.no issues at all. In a 40g. But it all depends on size.
^most of these fish are equal to size or have girth.

That combo should be fine.
Gonna need a tank of atleast 200g in a few months tho.
Tems grow wicked fast!

^^^^ +1 I got my tems from tj (lovethemfish) and ive been seeing about an 2-3" of growth a month but they slowed way down in the 45 gallon and when I put them into 150 they grew like weeds my big lil guy hit another inch the first week in that tank I got them at 2-2.5 inches and now are anywhere from 5.5-6.5" and ive only had them a lil bit over 2 months

Oh yeah ive been planning on building a 20 g tank because ive never built one before, and if that works out fine im going to build at least a 200 gallon. That should be fine for some fully grown peacocks and some other amazonian preds correct?

my stock idea for the 200 is as follows ( im going to attempt to get an ornate bichir fry going, so the 2 ornates will probably be alone in the 60)

-2 or 3 peacocks
-one wolf fish ( reds or goldens are my favorites, any other specie live peacefully in community tanks?)
-amazonian flower ray
-a tigrinnus, ageneosus marmo or arto, lima shovelnose (are all either or, will not be getting all these cats)

I dont make caves in my tanks, instead i arrange fake plants ( because my fish will tear apart live ones like nothin) to make little hides, also going to include a large floating plant and shale or driftwood structure
