Astatheros robertsoni are very nice fish. Relatively peaceful, although I've heard they are intolerant of conspecifics. They make nice additions to CA communities, but I'd be wary of putting them with very aggressive tank mates. One thing I hear over and over, and can attest to based on my own experience, is that they are very slow growers. Here's one I had for about two years - it grew from 1.5" to 4" in that time.

They do grow slow. In fact all astatheros grow pretty slow. As stated above the conspecific aggression can get out of hand at times
