Hey, I was wonder if other users feed their fishs some unorthodox treats? Ive found that once in awhile my Myleus Sp green like to eat almouds.. I bite them into pieces and drop them into the tank.. they enjoy breaking them apart... I assume they would like seeds as they are related to the Pacu.. the biggest dingus to ever crush nuts in water... I wanted to see if there are any other treats yall lowkey feed your fish once in awhile

My silver dollars (Metynnis, 3 species) love sunflower seeds. It is one of various things I include into their food rotation. Cooked garbanzos are considered another welcome treat!

I occasionally give my fish pieces of leftover chicken. Not particularly experimental, I suppose. Just meat without any sauce or anything on it. It nicely pulls apart into little vaguely wormy looking strings. Usually just like a piece about the size of the first joint of my pinky to give them some variety every few months.

In my previous place, we used to get termite swarms at night after the rain. Being bugs they'd get attracted to lights. I would switch off all the lights except the fish tank.

Not sure if this is still experimental but I usually check my coarse foam filter and there I pick some blood worms I can find.
My angel fishes love them so much, they fight over it. And it awakens them, they look like predators when they realize blood worms are coming.
