The season open in state waters last Friday with the new regs in place for the apparent "rare" :screwy: fish. From Ive heard people are limiting out in less then an hour.

I hope to be bottom bumping Satruday for these guys, Cant wait till the hit the frying pan!

They are the best tasting fish I have ever caught in Miami as far as saltwater goes and freshwater I love Talipia but red snappers are amazingly tasty

Are these true snappers like the red snappers that I catch in Mexico that they call Pargo????

I imagine less about fishing than everyone here but I was told by old fisherman that red snappers differ from area to area .
I bought them in NY at fish market they were good but ones I have caught in Miami are fantastic and color is different but same exact body look

they are true snapper and the ones up there might have been mangrove sneppers.

oh yea whats the limit now? planning a trip after memorial day.

Pictures?

should have gone for the really deep and big ones.
