depends on what kinds of fresh water fish you want, there are a lot of places that specialize in certain types, piranhas, cichlids(some specific groups of cichlids), catfish...... And usually it depends on what you want as to where the best price or highest quality fish are. Specifics????? If you are looking for something in particular thats hard to find, try making friends with someone who works at a LFS and they may be able to order some for their next shipment. Lots of options, try googleing what you want too.
SPONSORS ON MFK is a good place to look! one of my buddies has got fish from www.liveaquaria.com with some success... got a wrong fish one time, but he liked it.
I have had great experiences with Under the amazon, Fish room plus, and Aquascape. I don't think you can go wrong with most of the seller on MFK, but these are the 3 I reguarly buy from.
www.petco.com has a new section with live fish. I wouldn't buy from them but you can get an idea of what is out there.
