Excatly HR 699 pose very threat to some Goodeid species. Butterfly splitfin (Ameca splendens), Golden Sawfin (Skiffia francesae), Crescent Goodeid (Zoogoneticus tequila) and Banded Allotoca (Allotoca goslinei) are already extinct in the wild and many goodeid species in the wild are endangered. We will expecting few more goodeid species become extinct in the wild, trust me. If this bill passed, expect few species will went extinct or become rarer.paopanlilio;3174822; said:thats a good reason to disapprove hr 669
we hobbyist can keep and breed the fish that may get extinct in the wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Xenotoca eiseni is very interesting goodeid, I used to have these guys two years ago as I moved to different uncommon species. Cant wait to building a fishhouse so I can house few goodeids, both common and rare ones. Right now I have Blackfin Goodea (Goodea atripinnis), Rainbow Goodeid (Characodon lateralis "Los Berros"), Speckled Sawfin (Skiffia multipunctata "Isla Zamora"), Bass-colored Goodeid (Ilyodon furcidens), Leopard Goodeid (Xenotaenia resolanae) and soon to have Banded Allotoca (Allotoca goslinei). Yes I am giving up monster fish for these goodeids.Death Pony;3174960; said:There's an LFS close to my school that has Redtail Goodeids, but I don't know if they're for sale or not. I want to try to breed some of them and a few Skiffias.
