Oscar Tummy
So when my 125g leaked, I drained it and used a bucket to scoop up my Oscar. Then I drip acclimated him and gently poured him into the new tank at the water level so he all but swam out. But he never sulked, never pouted, ate right away and acts like he's lived in that little 55g hex his whole life. I KNOW Oscars and I also know that this is very atypical. Any guesses as to why my O didn't seem to notice he moved?

may be because its xmas, he didn't want to be bad :P

I'm wondering if it just hasn't hit him yet. Or maybe he really just doesn't mind moving...

mine has pouted maybe twice total in the year or so that ive had him, once when i first started out with him when a petco employee sold him to me for a 5 gallon, then in my larger tank when i did an enormous wc

don't sweat it

probably cuz both tanks have similar water chemistry. Are the landscaping similar? Some fish will pout when moved but others dont. It really ultimately depends on the individual fish

My O pouts at EVERYTHING. Every water change, every time I add or remove a fish, change a rock, change food, anything. Even if I leave the lights on for an hour to long.

My Oscar only pouts after it eats, or poops....weird.
Maybe he just knows that his home was in jeopardy and you save him.
If I have to remove my Oscar for any reason into a bucket, I use a dark colored bucket and keep it covered the whole time so you cant see in or he cant see out....I have never had him sulk after a move. Maybe thats it.
