Doesn't have to be with each other, but are there any crosses using these 2 fish?

Thanks for the link Jory....somewhere in that someone said a Rd x Dovii? Does that exist?

Is a Midas the same thing as a Red Devil or are they 2 different fish?

hi the link you posted was one of mine.. the lfs where i saw the GTxJD was HIghland aquatics. i asked the owner if he has had anymore and unfortunitly the answer was no. i he said if he gets anymore in he will save one for me.

midas- amphilophus citrenellus
red devil- amphilophus labiatus

they are in fact 2 dif fish in the same complex.

Thanks for the info

Red Devil or Midas crossed with a Dovii....is this possible? I read the thread about the RDxDovii but no pictures were produced and people are saying it isn't true.

it is very possible. parachromis can successfully hybridize, and as can amphilophus. it its completely plausible.

What would be a good starting size to try that combo out? Preference on which species should be the male and which the female? How is the aggression when two different species are paired up?

Sorry for all the questions, I have a 94g tank empty that I was going to try an arowana in. These hybrids intrigue me a lot.
