Any idea what im going to buy

'White' Piranha. Has red eyes when the flash aint on. What species is this. Check my thread in Piranha forum (new tank advice) for background on this purchase.

maybe but it is nearly5-6" now wouldnt it be showing adult colouration by now.

serrasalmus rhombeus i think it would be..
common names are white piranha as you mentioned and redeye piranha

Doesnt look like a rhombus ive kept rhoms before.

I have not found a picture of a rhombeus or any other species for that matter that matches it. I thought for a while compressus but something about it looks wrong to me plus i hoped for a larger species. Plus all pics have a black edge to caudal fin this has a more triangular fin and no stripe.
