Just got stationed in south jersey and I walked outside to this. Just want to make sure it's not poisonous.
Any idea what this snake is

Grab anothet pic after you wipe the vasoline off the lens and take your Parkinsons meds, lol. If it has a triangular head then its most likely venomous. But some water snake mimic that.
The triangular head method is entirely inaccurate. With this bad of a picture, there is no way to tell for sure what it is. If I had to guess, it's a Nerodia sp.
