Not sure at all what this guy is but its fast and pretty aggressive I saw it poop out a minnow the other day and today I saw the tail of another one going in its mouth.

I also think it is a pikeminnow, but I don't know. They are cool fish. Sounds like it would be fun to keep.

Make sure with checking out the laws, especially since California has restrictions with native fishes.

I have not seen pikeminnow on the restricted species list. Thank you for the reminder though.

Was it caught in Oregon? Mouth looks off for a pikeminnow to me, and the dorsal fin is to far posterior. Mind snapping another photo?

Definitely a pikeminnow. The last shot confirms it for sure. Looks like it's got some tail rot as well.
