At my lfs, they were selling clown knife fish. They normally don't sall knives and thought to myself I should get one. These fish are awsome! The only problem is they have been fed only live fish and nothing else. This clown is about 10 inches, indeed the biggest fish I ever owned. I'm trying to get him on Masivore Pellets. Do you guys have any ideas that can help me get him on a pellet diet? Also he is with 4 silver dollers, peakock eel and a weird freshwater shark...looks like a catfish.

the shark catfish is prolly a pangasius catfish? but anyways you shuold try to convert it to frozen first then put bits and pieces of massivore inside the frozen food and itll eatit accidently then later on you can try to feed only massivores

It's possible that you can probably get him on pellets easily. If he was in a tank with SD, I'm sure they probably fed them pellets. So it already recognize it as food...just not his. If you have other fish in with the CK and are feeding on fish. They will learn quickly that pellets are food. It'll probably take some starving, but don't be discouraged. If you noticed it's stomach sinking, give it a few feeders, but keep trying with the pellets.

i've found it easier to get them onto frozen foods and then to pellets. Less of a shock

i give my guy cooked frozen shrimp {like you would buy for yourself.. and stuff with massivore pellets once he takes to the shrimp.. then later he will eat both with out a problem...as well as almost anything else you offer...congrads on great pick upView attachment 477888see the pellet in the shrimp.. they love it
