any ideas? for my 30g!!!!

hello, i have a 30g tank but i dont know what to put into it.
i would like some sort of fish, that is small at first and will grow but not to big. if you have any ideas for a n00b fish please post reply or pm me thx for your time .

go to the LFS and look...maybe a Cichlid
 
convict cichlids are amazingly easy to raise. Watch out for getting a male and a female though or you will have lots of babies.

I have a 29g with a pair of convicts and love it. They are always active and its really entertaining to watch the breeding behavior. The male should get about 5 inches (more if theres no female) and the female considerably smaller. They can be in there for life very comfortably. They are also very cheap and easy. A pair of jewels would be interesting as well. Do your research and pick whatever sparks ur interest.
 
btw what does this mean: LFS?

thanks for the sugestion and ideas everyone im gonna drive to the fish cave and petsmart and pet ware house to look at some fish and pick out the ones i like and then come home and research and set up the tank on which fishs habbitat i choose. also
for the noobie fish can i mix fish together.

how are koi fish for noobies. and those little blackfin sharks or glo-fish
can some one give me a list of fish i can mix?
