Hi guys im in the process of designing a tropical pond for my RTC but i would like to put a viewing window in it. I am building the pond out of concrete blocks and it will be rendered inside and then sealed with a paint on sealer. I would like to know the best way of fitting a window and sealing it and what would be best either plastic or glass? If anybody has done this before i would really appreciate some pics of how you did it and what you used.
Any info would be a great help.
Many thanks.

Read this thread for help with building with blocks.

He also has a 2400 gallon build and then combing the two to a 10000 gallon tank

As for glass or acrylic it is a matter of personal preference. Acrylic will yellow over time if exposed to UV but a cover made of green house roof plastic will filter UV from the sun.

I personally like glass tank and hate my acrylic tank but each has a list of positives and negatives. If you want them all there is a way to long thread that has everything you would ever want to know on the subject. I think it is titled Glass vs Acrylic.
