Any ideas on getting my tapajos pair to bond?

Hey guys. the pair i got from John still haven't bonded. The female beats the smack out of the male. What can I do to somewhat force the bond? Would removing the female and letting the male get established help even them out?

What type of dithers do they have the target?

Seperate them feed them lots of food to condition them. Wait till they grow through adolescent stage and try again. If that fails maybe let male get established a bit longer then try again. If even that fails and the male is still alive (hopefully) ship him to me! (Lol)

I have discus as dithers. I may move them to my 180 and put the zebrina in with the discus.
