http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143392

pictures are on this link.

he is lethargic, he will sit just below the water level, he does dart about the tank on occasion ans scratches himself on the gravel. ive tested ph, nitrate and all seems fine. i thought it might be a ph problem but its 7.4/7.6. i thought maybe acidosis or alkalosis. but ph says otherwise

Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

OK well I can't believe a few dozen people have viewed this and none have replied. Saw the pix you posted and my god your fish is lucky to still be alive if that condition hasn't improved. The pix are pretty blurry so it makes it difficult but the brighter of the two is a little more clear and from that it looks to me like your fish has a serious parasitic case of Costia, as well as a highly advanced fungal infection, and at this state would'nt be shocked if Flexibacter - a bacterial infection, was present sa well. What have you treated him with?? Could you take a more clear picture of the fish now? If its what I think it is from the pix I have seen then I will go into detail for you, but still amazed that this guy is still kickin if in the same state!!

hmm , its fungus alright! This kind of fungus digs deep into the fishes flesh.Eats the fish up till it dies.

Cant belive he's still alive!

If he was like that for two week or so he would have been a goner.

The cure for this is: [chose any, both help equally]:

Tetra Tonic: for fungal and protozoan diseases

Tetra Anti-Fungal: for fungal diseases
