Hey everyone! I was hoping to fish up some interesting ideas (haha, bad pun) on what I can add to my aquarium! Because I need more fish!

It's a 75 gallon heavily planted community tank, running dual aquaclear 70's with weekly 20-30% water changes. Temp is at 26 Celsius and pH is 7.6.

Right now I've got 6 sterbai corydoras, 3 ottos, 4 roseline barbs and 16 rummynose tetras.

I was planning on adding a pair of angels and/or a pair of blue rams (there are a few breeders around here that raise them in the local water) but I am open for suggestions! I am looking for something that is bright, colourful and will be a bit of a show piece. And, of course, that will refrain from eating the other fish.

As well, I have room to add another 75G underneath this one. Any hypothetical suggestions for that hypothetical tank? (Looking to go oddball, or aggressive, or single fish, or even fancy goldfish. Something different).

Thank you all in advance!

i like your idea of adding angels to the planted tank, as far as the oddball tank you could always go with polypterus or something along those lines, or a single fish oscar or midas or something

angelfish is a great idea and for the 75 gallon oddball or predator you could do a single oscar or other large cichlid ,piranha tank or polypterius (sorry for spelling)

Apistogramma, laetacara, dicrossus, and (my least favorite) rams are all small SA cichlids that would work.

Keyholes, blue acara, festivums, angels, etc. are all larger SA cichlids that would likely work but watching for aggression would be needed.

they cant live in a planted tank? in my LFS they have a beautiful planted glass pond/tank thing and it is has a lot of large geo's and it looks awesome, i thought they would do good with plants, my B!

Haha, I put a Geo in there and my planted tank would become one big salad soup!

I think the angels are a must, but I'm being picky about my angels and waiting for the right pair (or small group if I get juvies). I'm hoping for some pinoys or wide fins, personally.

And yes, I meant blue rams or apistogrammas! That said, I am a huge sucker for the colour blue and my tank has like none of that right now. I also like the looks of laetacara. I'll have to look into that...

(I love oscars but I would want t wait until I have something bigger than a 75 to keep one).
