Hello,

since ive redecorated my house and made some improvement im wondering what predator fish could i keep in 240g typical tank ?

I was thinking about:

hoplias malabaricus or aimara
giant snakehead
arowana ?

any other ideas ?

im a sting ray and arowana fan myself. i have 2 retic rays and im moving my 15" silver to my 300 soon. id also like a redtailed cat but they are too aggresive for my tank.

armatus are another 1 i like. i have 3 scombs about 6" but they are giving me a hard time to get off of live feeders. i wouldve loved to find a hydrolycus armatus but they get quite large.

Man i wish i had the Freedo to keep any fish i wanted to pay for...

Snake heads are very aggresive so only 1 to a tank prolly and maybe 2 aros Ive seen more in less though... Get ya some nice bottom feeders to even up the tank if u decide arows or just bottom dwellers like the Clown knife... thats just what i like...

If I could get a Snakehead legally, I would have one yesterday.

How about a Dovii?
i just dont like them, but thanks !

sure u could do scombs. most fish wont bother them. and they dont bother anything around as big as them.

if u were to do scombs i look for some around 6-7". they grow very slow.
ive had mine for 6 months or so and they only grew about an inch.

they are nice to watch. mostly they like to hover and keep an eye out for food. they will come up to the front glass and give u the stare down.
