I'm trying to get any info on Cichlasoma amarum that is available. I've looked on most of the internet sites to no avail. Other than the standard description. Does anyone have any experience with these guys?

Cichlasoma amarum I believe is a subspecies of Cichlasoma urophtalmus that is located around Cancun. So, a new question does anyone have any experience with the Mayan cichlid variant from Cancun? (Cichlasoma urophtalmus amarum)
uropthalmus/mayan/fale red terror are commonly sold as festae. I think they're awesome but everybody else hates them because they think they're buying festae.
