Anyone have info or have one to tell me about them...include some pics if you have any.. i saw a almost black 17 inch rubber eel in lfs the other day... for $20 ..is that a good price?thanks ...

rubber eel are most likely caecillians (not sure on spelling) they are an amphibian, they have a small mouth so live well with small/medium sized fish which wont eat them. i would imagine $20 is a good price as youd pay a great deal more for one of that size over here.

Super easy maintenance. Never have to feed it. Dont even have to keep it in water if you dont want to. I think $20 is a little steep for a rubber eel. I think the hardest thing is remembering to wipe the dust off once a month.

i wonder what the species name is.. i will have to find out..
