"nan" lights or Submersible Fluorescent (SF) are one of the most common fish tank lights in asia. these are the ones you always see in the asian fish books like monsterfishkeepers. the advantage of SF is it provides better color enchancement and color rendition. your fish and tank will be basically lit from the side instead of from top.
^ bulbs will be stock, which is geared towards the red color spectrum. they are standard 2 pin T bulbs, so you can put up what ever you want at the pet store.
so the end caps are just sealed? sounds interesting...and a bit scary, but man it makes the fish look GOOOD. Well its is an asian so its hard not to look good
