I did a search on it and were surprised of how many labeos there are, had no idea. beautiful fish! can´t answer your Q though.

Yeah sharks are bottom dwellers, ive kept these fish before they get to about 12in in length and are very agressive and probably one of the most readily available labeo's in the UK.

Almost all labeos are bottom dwellers. A lot of these originated from Chao Phraya and Mekong found in Thailand where the currents are rather powerful. Most fish there have rather streamlined bodies built to withstand the currents.

Try looking for a Harlequin shark, which is one of the common names used for this fish, as is variegated shark. You could also try looking for the other scientific name they are commonly sold under, Labeo variegatus (which is now an invalid synonym for the cyclorhynchus). As labeo mentioned above, they are one of the more aggressive species and you should take great care what you house them with.

Nice looking fish .. in Australia they retail at around $120 for 3 inches... too pricey for my liking lol
