any news about the yantze giant softshell turtle breeding project???

I have a TSA newsletter, there was something on it about the yantze softshell. I'll look it up when i get the chance.
It's not going all that great. The Female is viable, but so far has only laid infertiles. The enclosure they're kept in is way too exposed to the public, so they eat trash on a daily basis, not to mention the poor base diet they are fed as a staple. The TSA is working to get things corrected, but it's going to take alot to turn that project around.........

I thought one of the latest reptile mags said they just got a bunch more eggs and were going to incubate them diferently or something.

) Unfornatly we may be to late for this ancient creatures, wille there is life there is hope but as example of a species of turt that is allmost completly wipped out in the wild and that its triving in captivity you have the vietnamese pond turtlesad to hear it. the last news I heard was at MAy 2008 it said in the article that they will breed it again on May 2009 but when I searched google I could not finda any current news.
