ANY OF YOU IN THIS FORUM OWN A BELLYCRAWLER PIKE or have pictures of one i wanna see how nice they look when adults or see who has the largest:)

My adult male was pushin 11" before he passed away....twas my first pike that he was. Dependin whether or not you got a male or female is gonna determine what it looks like as an adult. Generally speakin though, its gonna look just like it looks right now...;)...except much much bigger. Females will get red on their flanks and on some of the fins, as well as a ocelli (spot) in the dorsal fin. Aside from that, they look pretty much alike. HTH's!! :D

did u just say 11 inches?????? in the species info i got from them said they only grow to 6 inches,,, if they gre to 11 inches that would be great so i can put him in with a trimac in a 125 gal as they grow larger,,,,,,,, btw how big was ur bellycrawler when u got him and how long did it take him to get to 11 inches???

Well, it didn't take him very long to get to 8"...but to get that almost 11" it took him almost two years. I got him at about 3" and in 7 months he was 8"...pretty good growth rate. I was doing a lot of water changes though, and he was in a 75gal so he had plenty of growing room. Not to mention me power feedin him on ghost shrimp and earthworms...haha. They can be aggressive fish, definately hold their own. I don't know about keepin him with a trimac though, as they are reportedly highly aggressive, and could really tear up the pike. It could go both ways though. Start them off young, maybe you'll make it. Just make sure the pike has plenty of hiding places. Trimac is kinda screwed in that aspect, cuz any where it can go, the pike can go...haha

I have one at a little over six inches right now, i think it's a boy cuz when i tried keeping two of them the one i have now beat the crap out of the other guy...i have him with a female red devil and a small common pleco, and when the red devil tries to step up to him and get inside his tree trunk the pike just opens his mouth wide and won't back down. i feed him earth worms and krill for the most part, though if he gets the chance to snag some hikari pellets from the red devil he will, and every now and then i'll throw in a few rosies

pp how thicc was ur bellycrawler? im hoping mine will get big i feed him a lot he loves earthworms...anywayze im growing him out with my trimac but the pike is bigger than he is... the trimac is about 2.5 inches long and 2.3 inches tall and my pike is about 3 inches long and about 4 centimeters tall so they prolly stay around same size as they grow into adults once in the 125gal

My bc was about 1.5" thick...pretty beefy pike...LARGE mouth as an adult...lost many fish to his maw....:nilly:
