Any of you guys know how to change OIL for BMW's?!?! Getting the oil change cost alot when you have to get it done at the BMW service center :irked:

Which make..?? That Would help..:)

I don't feel sorry for you because you can afford to drive a BMW.:grinno: Getting oil change for a luxury car typically run $70-$150 @ the dealers. My mechanic does oil change on my beater for $25.:headbang2

Nvr Handled one before.. Sry mate.. Wish I could help more..

I do my own changes on my mercedes benz. Just like any other car. Oil drain plug at the bottom of the oil pan. Oil filter could be mounted anywhere. Mine is on the passenger side of the engine at the top and upside down. I'm sure your car has a skid plate under the engine that may have to be taken off the access the oil pan. Just because its a BMW doesnt mean its any different than any other car. Just crawl under and find the stuff and go!

Never done it before. Always taken to the shop to get it service. I always hear that there are "special tools" you need to get for BMW's if you want to service it yourself.

The special tool is only used to reset your gauges to turn off the service light. Other than that, the oil and filter change itself is the same.

I would recommend that you get one of these Chilton repair manual from Kragen or online, so you will know exactly how to do it and doing it safe.
