Any one had any luck keeping this mix?

Depending on tank size it should work, festae may prove the most problematic though

I recently bought a couple wild cought rt's a gt, a salvini, and was thinking about a JD. I had this set up a few years back minus the salvini but had to let them go for my move up north. They are all in a 40 gallon right.now with a bunch of red wagtail swords fry and parents and a mean female betta that has killed 3 males betas!
I have a 75gal and a 100 gal ready for them when they get some size on them right now they are about an inch give for take.

At minimum you'd more than likely need a 125 for this to work when they reach adulthood.festae and salvini are notoriously nasty.if the festae is male that will one make it more difficult but give everyone ample hiding places and get some target fish once they put some size on and hope for the best

my festae almost butchered a GT of the same size. I have them divided in a 90 gallon until the GT heals. Then i'm gonna sell the GT. BTW, the FEstae was a female and they were in my 220 community when this happened.

Even if you have a 8 foot long tank, a festae will launch across the tank and attack the same size fish that it really hates. The more cichlids you have, the more that the aggression will be spread out.
