Any one lantern fish for trout?

Went out at 1030 last night using lanterns off the side of the boat to draw up rainbows. It was my first time trying this. Got two rainbows one was a nice 20 incher which is large for a small lake in Albany county ny. Any other techniques anyone know of to go along with this approach. I let a night crawler drift down with a small splitshot 3 feet above it.

Nice. I just used some spotlights hanging off the side of the canoe. It's not very professional lol but seemed to get the job done. I'll try to invest in some better lighting system in the future. Heading back out tonight :)

Nice! I'd definitely look into a submersible light if you're into this kind of fishing.
