I was lucky enough to get 2 of these pumps for free. The pump in question is a Resun King 2160. Claims to have a max flow of 2160 gph vs the pumps I currently use which are Little Giants and putting out only 850 gph max. So onto the question....Do any of you use these and how are they working out for you? The Resun is of the "use as submersible or dry" variety. I would use as "dry" and also questioning the noise output as well.
Please share experiences if you have any or heard anything on these pumps.

never heard of them how about a link?

That's part of the problem. I can barely find anything on them much less a main website. From what I have been able to find is that Resun is based out of China and looks to be into the pond scene. The pumps seem to be of decent quality and are ceramic mag drive with 1" inlet and 1" outlet. I'm going to test them out regardless. I was just hoping that somebody here had experience or heard anything about them.

In short, they are rubbish. Ive had experience with these alongside others and can genuinly tell you they are your typical china pump. In saying that if they were free, use them till they die, then get something decent :)

Chris.

Thanks for the reply. What did you think of thier GPH claims? I'm looking at these thinking "2160 gph.....yeah, right"

I've have had so much frustrations from this company,I have bought 7 pumps from them just last year and now only 1 pump is working, yes they are from china but originally from singapore, the pioneer products that was from singapore was fair enough till rumors came that there was a boost of demand from thier products and cannot cope up with thier supply due its cheap price and a decent product performace ,the owner from singapore has tied up from somebody from china and begun to lose its quality..BTW thier gph is not accurate they are overrated...To be clear I am pertaining to RESUN-SEAQUEST pumps and I think they are from guandong,china...

That would be max rated at 0 head pressure and no plumbing...the way to tell a quality pump from the rest is how fast the flow rate drops as the head rises...on most magnetic drive pumps its a rather huge drop. Of course quality pumps usually come with a preformance chart.
