It's a lutino Oscar meaning it is not full albino. Most oscars labeled and sold as albino are actually lutino

I've heard that before..... A true albino is usually all white and I've never seen an all white one, but it's easier to just say albino Oscar rather than the two different ones.. :)
 
yea that's what happened to mine when it got really beat up. when all the fins grew back they were black.
 
1. looks like shading.
2. a lot of lutino oscars get the black in their fins. they just end up looking fully albino as adults. I had a juvie that looks half white half black, ended up like this
