It's a lutino Oscar meaning it is not full albino. Most oscars labeled and sold as albino are actually lutino

I've heard that before..... A true albino is usually all white and I've never seen an all white one, but it's easier to just say albino Oscar rather than the two different ones..

yea that's what happened to mine when it got really beat up. when all the fins grew back they were black.

Mmy oscar looks like that when in the shadows looks like shading due to lighting

1. looks like shading.
2. a lot of lutino oscars get the black in their fins. they just end up looking fully albino as adults. I had a juvie that looks half white half black, ended up like this
