I am the original poster had problems with my Aquatik account so I had to start new name. I caught wind of North fin over a year ago. I seem to be the only neutral party on here that has used Northfin ( no afiliation with owner). When I spoke to Neil privately he did not say any negative remarks about the new food at all. Its new food!!! It has no track record and Neil just stated the true facts about it, nothing more. I think one thing people forget to look at is there fishe waste (poop) from this I can say NLS results in the healthiest looking waste. I have a little problem that bugs me, once in awhile I find light color kinda whitish to light brow floating waste.. I cant pin point which foods are an issue butThis has never happen whith tanks that get strickly NLS! Again thank you Neil for your help. I am going to feed my medium size Umbee NLS floating and my other Umbee Northfin and see what happens. My whole thing I have got from these threads is all and all Northfin or any other food is NEW so right there that is a negative ticker IMO

I should be getting some this coming week. I will be trying Northfin and Southern Delight. Can't wait to try them both out. I'd love to hear other testimonials as time passes. ;-)

I wonder if Foster and Smith will pick it up in the near future?

Sd ingredients sound like crap, however NF seems decent but none the less a cheaper copy of NLS imo. If NF is cheaper in price it may spark interest but idk. So many new brands these days taking a shot at It, I prefer to stick with brands that have stood the test of time and have worked wonders for me.

Remember food is just one characteristic of fk, lets not forget water quality, maintenance, equipment, husbandry etc. Getting caught up in one aspect can hinder the bigger picture.

I look forward to hearing long term results with these foods.

I am currently trying out NorthFin exclusively in my fishroom. For the time being the ingredient label is all i can stand behind, but the way I see it is that is a very good place to start. The real test is in long term trials though and through YouTube I will be chronicling the progress of my fish on a very regular basis to the quite few people out there who follow me. If the results are there people will know and if not they will also know that as well.

Who cares about the whole "who's the best??" BS because for me It's all about options to the hobbiest and presenting a quality product to better the hobbies of us all and not trying to find out. The more "NorthFin's" that pop up with impressive ingredients the more the major players out there are going to want to double check there own formulas. The best thing for this hobby is to hopefully bring more companies to this competitive level of quality that was set by NLS (cannot and will not argue who set the standard) and better the hobbies of the masses by adding the amounts of choices available.

What I'm hoping from NorthFin foods is to be able to promote a brand through my Youtube channel that offers yet another option/alternative to feeding your fish without sacrificing quality. In the end fish have been raised on food from Hikari, NLS, Omega One, Xtreme, YFS, and many others over the years. It's the fish that get taken care of right with good genetics that end up being the ones that turn out to be stunning fish.

No matter what this guy has eaten which has been many foods over his 2 years with me the one constants has been adequete housing, solid filtration, and clean water through water changes. Those will never change no matter what he eats. BTW he loves himself some 4mm Jumbo NF.

I do plan on getting some very small fry here soon and raising them exclusively on NorthFin foods and we should get an accurate assessment of the effects in terms of growth, color and whatnot the best from a fish thats eaten on one food the majority its lifetime. Stay tuned...

That hoga is super crazy Nice!!!! I got me some Chanchos on the rise :headbang2raising on Northfin to see what kind of results it contributes. Like I said before lable is good no arguing but its still new food only time will tell.
