any one used a TMC HidroClean?

European and Asian MFK'ers get to see alot more aquarium technology on their side of the world.. Alot of these questionable products that are brought up here I have never even heard of!! Let us know how it works!
 
I only spotted it in a Koi catalogue i was flicking through the other month, look it up on TMC's site and find out it's just what I'm after.

I was going to to a fairly large sump as a prefilter, but cleaning a large set of sponges wouldn't of been much fun!

I'ved mailed TMC asking a few questions, so I shall update this topic as I find anything out.
 
theys a koi pond i use to take care of that use that same set up works very well...
 
They have a fresh water protein skimmer on that site I don't know that they made them for freshwater has anyone used these yet if so what do you think about them?
 
Turns out I need atleast 1m in height to get this unit in and be able to clean it. So because I want to do it this way so much I' m going to go for a 9ft tank instead and then I can stick the HidroCLean and fluidised sand bed at the end of the tank enabling them to be as high as i need them.

It's a shame it won't be the big 1 0 but a 9ft in same dimensions is only 50 odd gallons less, if i'm lucky there will be a dramatic drop in the price of the tank aswell!(althought probs not)
