Looking at supplementing a 110g Hob with this, its for a 65g planted with heavy stock.
Im bad for buying the latest equipment but i have learned to ask first if its all that its cracked up to be.

Things i like about the G series are the size its a nice square unit that will fit in badly designed stand that I have, and the cartridge system is interesting, and the fact my LFS has them half off .
Any bad or good reviews would be appreciated ..

Not used one myself but lfs has them for sale and has one running on a display tank they say they work really well and are easy to maintain but are very pricey and so are the replacement cartridges

Too much gadgetry for me. More tech. means more to go wrong. Look at some independent reviews and make an educated decision.

Welcome to 2012!

Very cool canister, displays temp, and auto programs for planted tank to shut off after photo synthesis and many other awesome features, when I was on the market for a quality can it came down between g series, fx5 and 2262, went with the fx5 cuz it was the cheapest for the power it has, 10 months later very happy with my decision. If its half off that's a steal, buy it!
