are there any fish other than goldfish or koi fish or any other common pond fish capable of living in a pond in so cal? i do have some male endlers or wild guppies in there already, they have been doing fine and reproducing for a year now. i dont know if fancy guppies will be the same, i was thinking of adding some fancy guppies in, but im not sure if they will surivive.

How big is the pond and is it filtered?

Go native...some bream types.

BOWFIN

or perch,catfish,bass,pumpkinseed.

or yoyo loaches maybe you could have a pleco in it

well, its only about 200 gallons, its mostly for growing lilies and other aquatic plants, it is filtered with a home made filter, so far i only have a couple of fancy goldfish, alot of rosy reds or fathead minnows, and guppies. as for any natives, i really suck at fishing..........

i was thinking maybe some white cloud minnows or danios, similar types of small fish like that.

mines 1180gal (in socal) i got atleast a dozen green sunnies, two black bullheads, 2 bluegill, 2 koi, 6 goldfish, 4-6fatheads, 1 bullfrog, and 2 gambusia (they just dont get eaten)

Yeah too small for natives except things like killiefish, your thinking in the right direction.

not true...ur saying its OK to keep sunnies in a 50-75 gallon aquarium butnot a 200 gallon pond?

as long as its filtered, you can have basicly anything you want....except large active natives like bass, pike, etc...

Sorry I guess I should said more. Sunnies would work but thought he was more inclined to smaller fish (that he had) and not wanting to get them eaten or abused :D .
