Theres actually another member here from Redding but I will let him tell you his location if he chooses to do so....

Lets hear it for the 530!!!

What area?I'm over in the enterprise area.

I helped Carl at aquariums plus setup most of his tanks and plumb them together. Most of the fish in his front display tank are my old african cichlids.I help Mike at the deep pretty often as well, as they are all about SW and not the most knowledgeable on FW monsters.

Good to see I'm not alone up here anymore....oddly enough half the time people say "norcal" on here they are referring to central cali/bay area.We do have a few members in Sac though...

We live at the extreme north end of CA--Crescent City, but spend lots of time in the Redding during the summer. We spend a lot of time at Shasta Lake, anyway. You all into wakeboarding? I sure wish that lake would fill up.

Crescent City is awesome. As a kid I use to go camping along the Klamath river ( in the Klamath Glenn ) and we would do all of our shopping in CC.

BTW I'm in Lodi, so I'm in Northern central Cali-ish :D

I spent one unplanned night on the Klamath River. We were way up the Klamath in the late afternoon when my husband decided to drift over a gravel bar and turned the engine off. Wrong thing to do. His jet boat went aground on the gravel bar. We spent a wet cold miserable night on the boat. The next morning we pushed the boat around and around and dug the gravel out from under it. We broke off a stabilizing fin and managed to get the boat free just as the first fishing boats came up river. The Sheriff was out looking for us, and I was AWOL from work. I like being on the lake much better:)

You are right. The CC area is great. We live in an area where people drive hours to visit and camp. Here's our back yard. We sometimes have bears raiding the garbage cans, and had raccoons eating the outside cat's food (until we trapped and relocated about 7 of them).

Here's the Smith River that runs through our property. (Our property line goes to the middle of the river)
