ok so i have 3 females 1 tem 1 ocell 1 orinoXocell and 1 male rio meta mono, idk when there breeding/ bedding time is during the year but im pretty sure the tem is bedding down and maybe gettin rdy to breed. what signs should i be looking for? any tips besides tank divider? thanks for any tips guys

The usually breed all summer every two weeks like clock work and then maybe once or twice the rest of the year picking back up again in April. This is what I noticed with mine. Be patient if there going to do it then you will know. How big are they; the two you think are going to breed?
Also Cross breeding between Sp is rare and breeding between Tem and other Sp of Cichla is unheard of.
I am sure out of the remaining 3 You will have to give them time. You said your female Tem is showing signs of being ready to breed? How big is she? And what size tank are they in?

the tem is 14-16 inches the mono is 10-12 shes moving rocks aside like wild largemouth bass do in lakes ive seen there in a 220 right now

And just out of curiosity, were you planning on adding the azuls, kels and brokos to that tank, cause your def gonna need a bigger tank lol
