Hi, I'm new to FH's and dont see them much around here picked these 2 up when i did. I know their not the greatest but what do you think?

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing. Anyone think that better food will help or am i just wasting my money?
they are not going to be like the high grade fh you see. i have a female similar to these fish. good color enhancing foods will bring out their color a little. my female got alot more color and developed a blue sheen to her from feeding good food. the fins have a red tint on your fish and good food will make them look more red on the fins and body also. i am sure someone will tell you that they are low grade and not worth it, but they are your fish and only need to make you happy. i love my "low grade" fh. she has good personality and is always begging for food when i walk by. she does front flips too.
Thanks for all your comments and honesty. I think I might buy some good food and see how they go. I was interested in the yellow, orange and red on the top fin as well, i think they are male and female both have dropped tubes and one is alot thicker than the other. The only thing is i dont want to breed them if they are only going to turn out low grade that just make more low grade fish around here and its hard enough to get good ones now. So far they have only got lots of blood worms and some cheep pellets made by the lfs.

i second that reply, some people will tell you hurtful stuff but dont be disappointed, just give it some love and care then it would make you feel better about the fish. who knoes it might turn out more of a surprise then you think. my first flowerhorn was a total surprise to me. it might look ugly to some but as long as your happy with it thats all it matters
