Hi,

I'm planning to move a motoro to an outdoor tank,
tank is 300 gallon, tankmates are some true parrot cichlids, severums , a pleco and an asian arowana , currently the asian arowana is already his tankmate.

the [arrots and severums are about 5 inches, pleco is also same size.
my motoro is about 10 inches.
any problem i'll encounter with the other tankmates?

thanks.

what kind of pleco??? i say go for it just keep a eye on everything and keep everybody fed nicely

sounds good to me, and yes just keep and eye on the pleco. they can get too friendly with the ray.

Is the measurement of the ray of its disc radius or of its total length (head to tail)? I would not keep a pleco with any ray that I cared about, but then again some people say not to keep them with bichirs, and I have done that for some time now with no problems.

thanks the pleco is an albino gibbiceps.
the 10 inch is the disc size.

I'm keeping the pleco since the tank gets exposed to mornibg sunlight and without the pleco the glass is overgrown with algae :)
but i'vbe also read about pleco sucking on rays :( just hope this pleco does not suck on the ray.
will i notice damage to my rays immediately if the pleco sucks on the ray?

btw do stingrays feel better or like it better if there are 2 or 3 of them in the same tank? or it doesn't matter if its only 1 stingray ?:)

+1

HOPEFULLY it will be fine. none of the fish will bother him, but the pleco might mess around with him. if you see him trying to suck the slime off the ray... boot him.
