I was thinking about purchasing a small one for one of my tanks. I was wondering, What do they eat? and alslo what kinds of fish can be kept with them? I saw a vid on youtube with neon tetras and i'm sure they can eat those but I was wondering if these things could be kept with large oddball fish? and I know they are considered fully aquatic but should I purchase a floationg log just in case?

First of these are not by any means fully aquatic turtles, dont beleave everything you see on the web, they will get out of the water and bask if given the change wich beneficts their health and females need a place out of the water to lay their eggs. So a aquaterrarium is a must. As for fish, I will say not very small peacefull fish like the more largist tetras, medium barbs, big danios and some smaller chiclids are your best bet. These are mainly carnivorus turts that benefict from the ocasional adition of vegetable matter. Turtle, chiclid and koi pellets alongside lean meat, blood worms, earthworms, snails and grasshopers make a good diet. Ad to herbivorus fish pellets to round the diet.

^ I agree. I keep a relative of the razorback with various small cichlids, plecos and danios. They have a basking spot but hardly if ever use it. Still, I provide them with one if they choose to.

all my musks bask. i have 2 common musks and 2 razors. i have a round floating log and all musk bask daily. i keep 2 musks in a graveled ciclid tank with no probs, i keep one razor with cory's and aus.rainbows with no prob.
