any rock experts? are these safe?

i found these rocks in my back yard and id like to put them in my fish tank (im from massachusetts) they passed the vinegar test with no fizz and now im going to boil them for an hour before i put them in.

Sounds legit, same test and prep I do for all my large aquarium rocks.
 
Yeah they look like nice river rocks so I'm sure they're fine. As suggested, power wash with hot water and NO chemicals. Also splash some vinegar on them. If they fizz it'll mean they're calcium based and will raise pH. If they don't you're good to go!
 
Rocks to stay away from in aquaria are limestone and alabaster as they will "melt" releasing toxins into he water. Urs look a o.k. to use. Granites,river rocks, slate and most landscaping type rocks are all good to use.

They look like large river rocks that use all the time with no issue. Just clean well if youve used chemicals in the yard.
