You can do a silver tip shark which is brackish. Not sure thats what youre looking for though. Not to sure any hobby available sharks stay this small. Not sure about it but you might be able to keep a bamboo shark. Someone correct me as I think im wrong.

You could get a juvenile banded shark and he would do ok for a short time but if your looking for a shark long term there is not one that will do well in a 125. If you want to keep a shark , look into building a tank or spending a ton of money on an appropriate sized tank 500 gallons for even the smallest of sw sharks

Bala sharks get huge and need a lot of tank space as they are very skittish and jump. They are also very fast movers that swim a lot

Ohh yea I know. Very active fish and get like 15 inch I believe. But it was a joke and I think the op was talking about saltwater I think. But don't think any shark (salt water) can fit in a 125.

No saltwater sharks would fit in a 125. Especially bamboo's. Coral cats are smaller then bamboo's and they are still to big for a 125. If you really want the shark look without the large size go with the brackish silvertip like Andrew1002 said. Brackish is easier and more forgiving then salt and the movements and swimming of the silvertip catfish are the typical movements you see in active sharks like blacktips and maco's. Be warned though that they are often sold as freshwater. They will not survive in freshwater very long. (with a few exceptions out there) they are a brackish fish and should be house so. I have 4 and they are doing great and they are just as fun to watch eat as my bamboo's and coral cat's. They get about 12-15inch full grown.
